We thought the clouds would wash us out, but we were lucky. The clouds acted as an effective filter and allowed everybody to enjoy this cosmic spectacle!

    June 28, 2009, Sun with H-alpha Coronado PST filter and Casio Exilim. No sign of any sun spots.


    June 28, 2009, Sun with two distinct prominences (using a hand-held Casio Exilim).
    This one is at 9 O'clock (blue arrow). Compare with the following SOHO image
    (He II 304 Angstrom) of the same day - A number of prominences are clearly visible.
